2027: TSG South-South Rolls Out Mobilisation Drive for Tinubu

The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) in the South-South says it will embark on massive vote mobilisation across the region to secure President Bola Tinubu's re-election in 2027.

Sen. Williams Eteng, Deputy Director-General of TSG South-South, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen in Calabar on Monday.

Eteng, who represents Cross River Central in the National Assembly, said the group would launch an aggressive grassroots campaign, taking its message to the doorsteps of residents across every community and local government area in the region.

He said Tinubu's projects and interventions in the South-South had made the task of mobilising support for the president considerably easier, singling out for commendation the reconstruction of the Calabar-Itu Highway.

"This road has been an unresolved challenge that faced successive administrations for more than 15 years. As I speak with you, we are back to the good old days where you can drive from Calabar to Akwa Ibom with ease," he said.

He also pointed to the ongoing Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway as another major project the region owes the president gratitude for. "We need to use our votes to appreciate the president for all the projects and interventions in the region," he said.

Eteng's appointment as Deputy Director-General of TSG South-South was communicated in a letter dated Sept. 19 and signed by the group's Convener, James Faleke. The letter cited his leadership experience, professional accomplishments, grassroots engagement and commitment to national development as grounds for the appointment.

In his new role, Eteng is expected to help coordinate and drive TSG's mobilisation activities across the South-South region, working with relevant stakeholders to advance the group's objectives and promote the president's Renewed Hope Agenda.
