Federal Government appointees and All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from Adamawa State have resolved to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu and other party candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The resolution was contained in a statement signed on Friday by Mr Nkem Anyata-Lafia, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Director-General (D-G) of the Nigerian Technical Aid Corps (NTAC), Mr Yusuf Yakub.

According to the statement, the resolution emerged from a strategic meeting held on Thursday evening at the NTAC Complex in Abuja, hosted and chaired by Yakub himself. The gathering brought together prominent APC leaders, political stakeholders, and Federal appointees from Adamawa to deliberate on unity, strategic coordination, and broad-based support for the party within the state.
Participants reviewed the factors that had constrained the party's performance in Adamawa over the years, particularly the absence of a coordinated and unified approach among stakeholders. They agreed to move past these challenges and work toward a more cohesive path forward, emphasising the need to close ranks, strengthen internal collaboration, and align with party structures at all levels to achieve shared political objectives.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of strategic engagement among Federal appointees, party leaders, candidates, and grassroots stakeholders, with participants committing to translate their deliberations into concrete activities and coordinated mobilisation efforts in the weeks and months ahead.

According to the statement, the meeting concluded with a pledge to intensify consultation, cooperation, and coordinated activities in support of all APC candidates and programmes as preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum. Stakeholders further reaffirmed that sustained unity and collective responsibility would remain central to their efforts to strengthen the party's structures and political presence across the state.

In his welcome remarks, Yakub stressed the need for members to work toward a common objective, noting that unity, consultation, and collective action remain essential to strengthening the APC and expanding its political fortunes in Adamawa.

Among those present at the meeting were the APC North-East Zonal Vice Chairman, Mr Shuaibu Idris; the APC Governorship candidate in Adamawa, Alhaji Ahmed Galadima; and former APC Chairperson for Adamawa, Sen. Binta Masi-Garba. Others in attendance included Sen. Grace Bent, Managing Director of the Oil and Gas Free Zone Authority, Alhaji Bamanga Jada, along with heads of Ministries, Departments and Agencies from the state, and other Federal Government appointees from Adamawa.
