Bayelsa APC: We Don't Need Rainbow Coalition to Win 2027

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bayelsa State, Mr Warman Ogoriba, has dismissed the relevance of the emerging "Rainbow Coalition" within the state.
In a statement issued on Friday in Lagos, Ogoriba said the APC possesses the numbers, structure, organisation, and grassroots support required to secure victory for President Bola Tinubu and all officially nominated APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.
The APC chairman stressed that the party remains focused, united, and firmly rooted at the grassroots across the state, noting that APC has established structures across all eight Local Government Areas (LGAs) and political wards in Bayelsa.
Ogoriba said the party would not be distracted by political alliances outside its established structures, adding that APC would continue to consolidate its membership base, strengthen internal unity, and deepen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
"The task before the party is to remain organised, disciplined and committed to the collective objective of advancing the APC and supporting its candidates at all levels. We are confident that the combination of the party's existing structures, committed members, stakeholders and grassroots networks would provide the foundation for a strong electoral campaign in 2027," he said.
He urged APC members and supporters across Bayelsa to remain united and focused as the party prepares for the elections, assuring them that party leadership would continue to engage stakeholders and mobilise support across communities in the state.
Ogoriba reiterated the commitment of the Bayelsa APC leadership to strengthening the party's structures and working collectively toward the success of Tinubu and all APC candidates in the 2027 elections, stating that the party would remain focused on its organisational structures and grassroots engagement as election preparations intensify.
The Rainbow Coalition is a multi-party-political arrangement created by Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Nyesom Wike, aimed at supporting President Bola Tinubu's 2027 re-election bid.
