Customer Service Builds Trust and Loyalty, Says SIFAX Chairman

By Atlantic Reports
Chairman of SIFAX Group, Dr Taiwo Afolabi, has said businesses must build customer relationships through trust and responsiveness to sustain loyalty and growth.
Afolabi spoke during the company’s 2026 Customer Service Week celebration at its headquarters in Lagos, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the Group Head of Corporate Communications, Muyiwa Akande.
He said effective customer service extended beyond meeting expectations to creating experiences that strengthened lasting relationships.
Afolabi attributed part of the group’s business performance to its commitment to service across its subsidiaries. He thanked customers for their patronage and staff for their contributions, saying consistent service quality remained essential to retaining customers’ confidence.
The group’s Coordinating Director, Mrs Wunmi Eniola-Jegede, also said customer service was central to its operations.
Represented by the Director of Operations and Strategy, Mr Oliver Omajuwa, she said the company remained committed to responding to customers’ needs and exceeding their expectations.
Eniola-Jegede described customers as the lifeblood of the business and acknowledged employees’ role in service delivery and sustained patronage.
According to the statement, the week-long celebration took place across the group’s subsidiaries, featuring customer visits, town hall meetings, health talks, medical checks, wellness and fitness sessions, and games.
Staff also participated in themed dress days, wearing traditional attire, old-school outfits, corporate clothing and sportswear.
“The annual event highlights the importance of customer service and recognises professionals who support and serve customers,” she said.
The statement outlined the group’s service commitments but did not provide customer satisfaction figures, complaint-resolution data or other measures of service performance.
