Former Niger Delta Agitator Backs Tinubu, Urges Grassroots Campaign for 2027

A former Niger Delta activist, Endurance Amagbein, has stressed the need for intensified grassroots mobilisation in support of President Bola Tinubu of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Amagbein made the call in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja, insisting that if President Tinubu is to secure victory in the presidential poll, pro-APC groups must channel their energy toward reaching ordinary people at the grassroots.
According to him, the foundation of any successful political support movement lies in mobilising backing from every corner of society by giving people compelling reasons to support their preferred candidate. "This is my agenda," he said.
The former agitator, popularly nicknamed "Adaka Boro the Second," said he has maintained consistent grassroots support for the Renewed Hope Agenda over the past few years, engaging communities as well as associates within the APC and other political parties.
"This will culminate in a massive vote for President Tinubu," he said.
He disclosed plans to replicate the rallies and grassroots initiatives that he and his supporters had organised since the 2023 general elections, as part of preparations for the 2027 polls.
Amagbein said that in light of the various programmes, policies and development efforts the president has implemented in the Niger Delta through the Renewed Hope Agenda, he remains optimistic that Tinubu could secure at least 97 per cent of the overall votes cast in the region.
Nevertheless, he cautioned stakeholders against complacency, urging continued effort. "Hence, every Tinubu lover needs to sustain the tempo and redouble efforts to ensure it is Tinubu all the way," he said.
He also distanced himself from certain political manoeuvres, which he described as attempts at "capturing sacred traditional institutions" — a strategy he said was designed to elevate traditional platforms in order to pressure the Federal Government for selfish political gain.
Amagbein maintained that he is not one to abandon a cause once committed to it, stressing that his support for the Tinubu-led administration remains firm and unwavering.
