Kaduna APC Prepares for Tinubu Campaign Launch on October 24

By Atlantic Reports
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State says it is preparing to host President Bola Tinubu and other party leaders on 24 October for the launch of its presidential campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party’s State Publicity Secretary, Mr Muhammad Sani, announced the preparations at a news conference on Monday in Kaduna.
Sani described the choice of Kaduna as the campaign’s starting point as significant and said the state chapter was mobilising supporters to welcome the president.
“We are proud that the march to Aso Rock in 2027 is beginning from Kaduna on Oct. 24, 2026,” he said.
The announcement represents the state party chapter’s account of the planned event. The supplied material did not include separate confirmation from the Presidency or the APC’s national campaign leadership.
Sani said mobilisation was being coordinated under Governor Uba Sani and was expected to draw hundreds of thousands of people.
“We are going to mobilise, under the leadership of our governor, Senator Uba Sani, hundreds of thousands of people to welcome Mr President. We are going to show love and solidarity,” he said.
That figure is a turnout target, rather than a confirmed attendance count. The briefing did not specify the venue, transport arrangements or crowd-management measures.
The publicity secretary also reiterated the party’s pledge to deliver two million votes for Tinubu in Kaduna during the presidential election.
He expressed confidence in the APC’s support across the state, claiming that there was “no opposition” and describing Kaduna as politically united behind the party.
“Kaduna is united under one roof,” he said.
The assertion is a partisan assessment. The briefing provided no polling or other evidence establishing unanimous support for the APC, and the two-million-vote pledge remains an electoral ambition.
Sani said Kaduna would play a leading role in the party’s re-election effort and assured prospective visitors of a peaceful environment during the campaign event.
For residents, preparations will also need to address public safety, traffic and access around the venue. Details of those arrangements were not provided at the briefing.
