Lagos APC Women Pledge 1 Million Votes for Tinubu, Hamzat in 2027

The Women's Wing of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has pledged to mobilise no fewer than one million women's votes for President Bola Tinubu and Deputy Governor Dr Obafemi Hamzat ahead of the 2027 elections.
The party's Woman Leader in the state, Mrs Iyabosola Eletu, gave the assurance during an interview in Lagos on Friday, noting that the party's mobilisation efforts were already yielding positive results across the state.
"As a woman leader, I have consulted and engaged fellow women leaders across board to ensure that the mandate of APC candidates is delivered at the grassroots. I have visited more than five riverine communities in the Ojo/Badagry axis to canvass support for Tinubu and Hamzat, and will extend the mobilisation to other riverine areas of the state," Eletu said. "We are not limiting our mobilisation to the urban areas; we will continue to reach the riverine communities and every part of Lagos to seek support for our candidates."
The Woman Leader said President Tinubu's achievements across various sectors were sufficient to convince voters to back his continued administration and the APC in the 2027 elections. She cited entrepreneurship grants, the NELFUND student loan scheme, support for farmers, infrastructure development, and human capacity building as key areas of impact.
"The Tinubu-led administration has recorded achievements that should be communicated to the people, which also include financial autonomy to local governments, increased federal allocations to states, and salary adjustments for civil servants. The administration is also putting efforts to address outstanding debts in the education and power sectors as some of its interventions. These are issues that directly affect Nigerians, and we will continue to explain the impact of these policies to the people at the grassroots," she said.
Eletu also spoke on Hamzat's suitability for higher office in Lagos State, noting that his extensive experience in governance would prove valuable. "Hamzat understands the workings of Lagos because he has served the state at different levels, he knows the challenges and opportunities, and that experience gives him an advantage," she said, adding that he would build on the achievements of previous administrations and ensure ongoing projects are completed rather than abandoned."Continuity is key. He will not abandon the ongoing projects; instead, he will complete them and initiate more projects that will further advance the development of Lagos," Eletu said.
She urged party members — particularly women and grassroots leaders — to intensify mobilisation efforts to help the APC secure victory at the presidential, governorship, and other levels in 2027. "We have started early, and our target is achievable if all members remain united, committed and focused. We are determined to deliver victory for Tinubu, Hamzat and other APC candidates and we will deliver with a landslide victory in Lagos State and Nigeria at large," she said.
