Oyebanji Dissolves Ekiti Cabinet Ahead of Second-Term Inauguration

By Atlantic Reports
Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has dissolved the state executive council ahead of his second-term inauguration on 16 October.
Oyebanji announced the dissolution on Monday during the council’s valedictory meeting in Ado-Ekiti.
The decision affected members of the 2022–2026 executive council but excluded Chief of Staff Niyi Adebayo and Secretary to the State Government Prof. Habitat Adubiaro, who retain their positions.
The governor thanked outgoing members for their dedication and service, saying their contributions had been important to his administration’s achievements over the past four years.
He commended their roles in implementing government policies and programmes, which he said had supported the administration’s development agenda.
The announcement did not name a replacement cabinet or provide a timetable for new appointments. It also did not specify interim arrangements for overseeing the affected ministries.
