Pro-Tinubu Youth Forum Calls for Equitable Development, Measurable Reform Benefits

By Atlantic Reports
The Tinubu Young Generation Forum (TYGF) has urged the Federal Government to distribute development opportunities equitably and ensure that economic reforms improve the everyday lives of Nigerians.
In a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, the forum’s National President, Mr Kevin Timothy, commended President Bola Tinubu and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, while calling for measurable results in employment, household welfare and business productivity.
Timothy said the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda should be assessed through its effects on citizens’ living standards, rather than policy announcements and project inaugurations alone.
“Ultimately, the success of the Renewed Hope Agenda must be reflected in the everyday experiences of ordinary Nigerians,” he said.
Reform gains must reach households
Timothy praised the administration’s economic reforms and efforts to improve infrastructure, food security, agricultural productivity and economic diversification.
He also commended Akume’s role in coordinating government policies and promoting collaboration among institutions.
These assessments represent the position of the pro-Tinubu forum. The statement did not provide figures or other evidence measuring the outcomes of the initiatives it praised.
Timothy urged the government to ensure that its policies translated into practical benefits.
“As advocates of progressive leadership, we encourage the government to sustain its commitment to ensuring that the benefits of these reforms translate into tangible improvements in household welfare, employment opportunities, business productivity, and the general standard of living,” he said.
Call for balanced development
The forum president said Nigeria’s human and natural resources should be harnessed to expand opportunities, empower young people and support balanced development.
He argued that every region had economic strengths and human potential capable of contributing to national prosperity.
Timothy called for closer cooperation among federal, state and local governments so that development programmes delivered measurable benefits to communities.
He identified agriculture, transportation, energy, education, healthcare, housing, digital connectivity and industry as important areas for investment.
The statement did not identify specific underserved communities, propose an allocation formula or set targets for assessing equitable distribution.
Its central demand was that development be judged by jobs created, businesses strengthened and improvements in people’s lives. Those measures would provide a practical basis for assessing whether the administration’s promises were reaching households and communities.
