NLO Sets Security and Venue Rules for Cup Clubs

By Atlantic Reports
The Nationwide League One (NLO) has directed clubs taking part in its cup competition to provide adequate security and designated home grounds as part of mandatory match-day requirements.
In a publication on its official website, the league said clubs must ensure that playing surfaces, dressing rooms and other supporting facilities are in good condition and ready for matches.
The directive places responsibility on participating clubs to prepare and maintain venues throughout the competition, with effective security arrangements to support the safety of players, officials and spectators.
Clubs must also prominently display pitch-side panels featuring their names, partners and sponsors.
The NLO encouraged clubs to use the branding opportunities to increase sponsor visibility, strengthen commercial relationships and attract potential investors.
Compliance is mandatory, the league said. Clubs that fail to meet the requirements could face sanctions determined by the Competition Organising Committee.
The announcement did not specify the penalties, inspection procedures or deadlines for correcting deficiencies.
The league urged clubs to complete the necessary preparations, describing the requirements as measures to support safety, professionalism and grassroots football development.
The NLO Cup provides participating clubs with additional competitive opportunities. Consistent enforcement of venue and security standards will be important to ensuring those opportunities are delivered in suitable match conditions.
