The league is sponsored by the Nathaniel Idowu Foundation, established by Chief Yemi Idowu, and organised by Peakline Sports World Ltd., led by its Director-General, McAnthony Anaelechukwu.

The foundation says the initiative is intended to help young people develop sporting talent alongside their education.

Organisers also aim to encourage discipline, teamwork and sportsmanship, while providing opportunities to identify promising young footballers.

Attention now turns to Matchday Two, with Sacred Heart, Gracewell Academy and GIF College seeking to build on their winning starts.
