The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) says it is currently rehabilitating four vandalised towers along the Afam-IPP-Elelenwo 132 Kilo Volt (kV) Double-Circuit line.

The company's management disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday.

According to TCN, the incident was discovered on August 6 by the company's line engineers from the Port Harcourt Region. Towers T50 to T53 were affected, with tower members removed and carted away by vandals.

The company noted that this marks the fifth vandalism attack recorded on the same transmission line in recent times.

"As rehabilitation work progresses, we enjoin all stakeholders to join hands to curb the menace that is threatening the stability of the national grid," TCN said.
