Turkish Airlines has announced plans to increase services between Lagos and Istanbul from seven to 10 flights weekly in each direction from 11 December.

In a statement issued on Saturday in Lagos, the airline said the three additional weekly services were intended to meet growing demand for travel between Nigeria and Türkiye, as well as connections to other international destinations.

The planned Lagos expansion follows an increase in Istanbul–Abuja services to seven weekly flights in June 2026, according to the airline.

Turkish Airlines said the additional flights would give business and leisure travellers more scheduling options and access to onward connections through its Istanbul Airport hub.

The airline said its international network covered more than 350 destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas, served by a fleet of more than 560 aircraft.

It also highlighted access to its Istanbul Airport Business Lounge for eligible Business Class passengers connecting through the hub.

For travellers using the Lagos route, the announced change would provide three additional departure options each week. However, the statement did not specify the operating days or departure times of the new services.

The expansion remains scheduled for December, with the existing seven weekly services due to rise to 10 in each direction.
